SPEAKERS PROFILE

 

IRINA MARIA CARBUNARU

Vice President Manning Personnel, WSM Central Management Team 

 

Irina Carbunaru is our new Vice President Manning Personnel. Irina brings in more than 20 years of crew management experience. Prior to joining Wilhelmsen Ship Management, Irina held senior roles in V.Ships servicing many notable global players including ship-owners and ship managers. She has a lot to contribute through her broad interdisciplinary experience and industry know-how.

 

 

JOHN D'ANCONA

Senior Analyst, Divisional Director - Dry Cargo, Clarksons Platou Asia

 

John began his career in the oil and gas markets, with Exxonmobil and then Shell, working as a supply & trading analyst. He then moved into the shipping markets, managing the dry cargo research at Howe Robinson shipbrokers. Prior to joining Clarksons Platou, John was the head of research at Galbraith’s shipbrokers, focusing on dry and wet markets, until he took up his current position in London at the start of 2013. John moved to Singapore in 2014 to provide full time analytical services to clients in the Asia Pacific region.

 

JAKOB GJOERTSVANG KNUDSEN

CLAUS CHRISTIAN SVANGREN BRUNGER

Jakob and Claus are subject matter experts in MAN for Two-stroke operation, warranty and design department. Both superintendent engineers are based in Singapore for the past few years as an extension operation department in Copenhagen (working with operation, warranty and design).With nearly 10 years of technical experience in their belt, they have been sharing their insights with their customers on the operational challenges crew may encounter when Sulfur cap 2020 comes into force.

 

RAJIV NIGAM

General Manager - Technical Services Group, WSM Region Asia

 

Rajiv Nigam has a combined 35 years of maritime experience in ship and shore with WSM. He currently heads the technical services group in Asia as the center of excellence for technical ship management services which includes newbuilding supervision, dry docking and retrofitting.
