    Profit split related to Walenius Lines AB sale of shares in Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ASA

    With reference to stock exchange notices issued 22 December 2016 and 4 April 2017 as well as stock exchange notices 19 and 20 April 2017, Wallenius Lines AB have reduced its shareholding in Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ASA by 43 104 938 shares.

    Merger completed between Wilhelmsen and Wallenius

    “The boards of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA and Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA are very pleased to announce that we have finally received all the necessary approvals and have completed the merger between Wilh.     Competition authorities’ approval received for merger between Wilhelmsen and Wallenius

    “We have received all the necessary approvals from competition authorities, bond holders and general meetings. Additionally, the respective creditor periods in Norway and Sweden have expired, and we are therefore ready to proceed to completion of the merger between Wilhelmsen and Wallenius as announced 22 December 2016,” says Jan Evyin Wang, president and CEO of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA, owned 72.3% by Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA.

    1 April 2017, Kemetyl West Consumer’s sales and marketing for consumer products in Norway will be transferred to Wilhelmsen Chemicals. Kemetyl wishes to exit the Norwegian market.

    Reshaping the global management team in Wilhelmsen

    As part of reshaping the executive team, the Wilhelmsen group adds two senior vice presidents to its group management team. Mr Erik Nyheim will be responsible for Wilhelmsen’s investments in ships service (marine products and agency), safety products and solutions (Survitec), governmental services and Qube, while Mr Jan Eyvin Wang will be responsible for following up ship management, insurance services, Treasure ASA and NorSea Group.

    Results for the fourth quarter 2016

    Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding (WWH) reported an increase in total income and operating profit in the fourth quarter compared with the previous quarter. All business segments experienced higher income, partly due to non-recurring items.
