    Wilhelmsen takes a bigger stake in Edda Wind

    Wilhelmsen’s ambition is to be a player in renewable energy and decarbonisation. Building on this ambition, Wilhelmsen acquired 25% of Østensjø Group's expanding offshore wind company Edda Wind in September 2020. The agreement included an option to buy another 25% before June 2021. The option was exercised on 8 March 2021.

    WilNor acquires the Norwegian military naval base Olavsvern

    WilNor Governmental Services AS (WGS), through its subsidiary company WGS Properties AS, has acquired 66% of the shares in the Olavsvern Group AS. WGS, a Wilhelmsen group company is a key logistics partner for the Norwegian armed forces and allied NATO forces. This acquisition enables WGS to provide an even broader range of services to military partners.

    Wilhelmsen’s Topeka hydrogen project awarded NOK 219 million

    The Wilhelmsen led project, to construct the world’s first zero emission hydrogen vessels, has been awarded 219 million Norwegian kroner (MUSD 25) by the Norwegian government-owned organisation Enova. These funds will enable Wilhelmsen to further develop the technology and additional infrastructure required to support the maritime industry’s ambitions towards zero emission fuels.
