Wilhelmsen Port Services has completed its acquisition of Vopak Agencies which was first announced on 13 October 2022. Vopak Agencies, which has now become a Wilhelmsen group company, is highly complementary and a perfect match for the global reach of Wilhelmsen Port Services’ maritime network of 2,200 ports.

Results for the fourth quarter 2022
Stable performance from the operating businesses delivered EBITDA of USD 34 million, with the Wilhelmsen group also benefitting from a strong contribution from associates in the fourth quarter. Combined with a net financial gain, this resulted in a profit of USD 198 million for the quarter.

New partnership aims to take Norwegian offshore wind to the next level
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) will join Wilhelmsen-owned NorSea, and Parkwind in a partnership dedicated to floating offshore wind projects in Norway. In doing so, the companies will further strengthen their consortium initially targeting the Utsira Nord tender.

Fuel oil treatment offers benefits to enhance vessel operational efficiency on road to decarbonization
With shipping currently responsible for 3% of global GHG emissions, the new EEXI and CII regulations that came into force in January comprise the IMO's short-term measures to address climate change. The aim is to reduce carbon intensity of all vessels with over 5,000 GT in international trading by 40% by 2030 and 70% by 2050 – an ambitious target for the maritime community to pursue.
