HOSE CLAMPS

Hose clamps are widely used onboard to secure hoses with fittings. For AC-OX service, the Ear Clamp or Clamp 1 Ear is recommended as it offers a better and safer solution when mounting hoses compared to worm type / jubilee clips. Meanwhile worm type hose clamps are offered for non-critical service such as low pressure compressed air or water hoses.

The recommended Ear Clamp or Clamp 1 Ear type of hose clamps are compliant for use onboard tankers (OCIMF SIRE) and bulkers (RIGHTSHIP RISQ) for welding works in accordance with Code of Safe Working Practices of Merchant Seafarers (COSWP, UK) and British Compressed Gas Association Code of Practice No. 7 (BCGA CP7).
