Wilhelmsen completes sale of Edda Wind vessel fleet

Wilhelmsen has completed the sale of all Edda Wind’s vessel to two maritime owners, following a process that confirmed strong interest in high‑quality offshore wind tonnage.

The transaction reflects Wilhelmsen’s long‑term industrial ownership strategy: building, developing and actively growing businesses over time, while also being disciplined in capital allocation and realising value when compelling opportunities arise.

“Edda Wind has been an investment with a long‑term perspective, where we have contributed capital, competence and industrial experience,” says Geir Flæsen, EVP New Energy at Wilhelmsen. “When we received a commercially attractive offer that reflected the underlying value of the fleet, it was the right time to conclude the investment.”

The transaction confirms the strong underlying value created through active, long‑term industrial ownership and disciplined capital allocation.

As the vessels move on to new owners and new chapters, Wilhelmsen extends a maritime farewell to the fleet and its crews: fair winds and following seas.
