The Shipping Agency Union (SINDAMARES) which acts on behalf of agencies working on the ports of Espirito Santo state are under yearly negotiation round with Pilotage Union, which demand an increase in their service costs. This time, Pilotage Union has requested a 24% which was not agreed, further lowering to 19,7% for a set period of one year. The move strongly denied, and now Shipping Agency Union is making a plea to have rates increased (maximum to 17%, shall be valid for a period two years). Meaning that, should rate increase be approved, costs will change retroactively as from July 01st.
If approved, the increase of 17% from current tariff will be in force until June 30th, 2020.
We will keep informed on upcoming events and definition once approved.
