Temporary administrative measures for vessels calling Qingdao Port.

Qingdao government has announced the temporary administrative measures for vessels at Qingdao port, valid from May 28th, 2018 until June 11th, 2018 as follows:

1. It is prohibited for any vessel to sail, berth or engage in business activities in Fushansuo area without approval. All the operations of passenger terminals and stations (excluding Qingdao International Cruise Port) in the coastal area of Shinan District, Shibei District, Laoshan District and Huangdao District are suspended, as well as the operation of passenger ship, motorboat and sailing ship; all the above-mentioned vessels are prohibited to sail in the above area.

2. Container vessels are prohibited to load/discharge class 1-7 dangerous cargo container in Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao port from 0000lt May 29th, 2018 to 2400lt June 6th, 2018.

Oil tanker, chemical tanker, LPG, solid bulk ship with dangerous cargo (excluding coal ship) and general cargo ship with dangerous cargo are prohibited to enter/exit Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao from 0000lt June 1st, 2018 to 2400lt June 6th, 2018; all the vessels with dangerous cargo except container ships with class 8 and class 9 dangerous cargo are prohibited to enter/exit Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao port from 0000lt June 7th, 2018 to 2400lt June 11th, 2018.

3. It is prohibited to carry out the port operation on refined oil, dangerous chemical, LPG, solid bulk dangerous cargo (coal excluded) and dangerous cargo on the general cargo ship in all the port areas of Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao port from 0000lt June 1st, 2018 to 2400lt June 6th, 2018; port operation of dangerous cargo other than class 8 and class 9 is prohibited in all port areas of Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao port from 0000lt June 7th, 2018 to 2400lt June 11th, 2018.

4. It is prohibited to use Qianhai No. 1, No. 2 and No.3 anchorage at Qingdao port from 0000lt June 4th, 2018 to 2400lt June 11th, 2018. Vessels should move to the south anchorage at Chaolian Island. Pilot’s place of boarding and disembarking moves to Xiaogong Island of Qingdao port.

5. Vessel’s entry/exit or berthing operation of Jiaozhou Bay area of Qingdao port is prohibited if the visibility is less than 1 nautical mile from 0000lt June 4th, 2018 to 2400lt June 11th, 2018.

6. Vessels could be restricted from passing through the main channel of Qingdao port when necessary.
