AGM (Asian Gypsy Moth) season in North-East Asia.

WSS Japan reminds, that between June to September Asian Gypsy Moths are laying eggs in the North-East region of Asia.
Vessels calling USA, Canada, New Zealand or Chile after port calls in Japan are required to complete inspection certification in order to call to designated ports.
Contact WSS Japan in good time for AGM inspections onboard.

This year ships who have called or transited Japan Inland Sea area is strongly infected by AGM.
Last records onboard a ship departing from Japan found a total of 665 egg masses onboard.
Additionally, 600 living and 50 dead AGM adults were removed from the ship together with the eggs.
Inspection and removal of AGM may impact cause delay of departure time.
