Press release |

Themed "Addressing the Changing Landscape of Shipping", WSM plans to host similar events throughout the year in selected countries.

The seminar is a platform for experts from maritime and regulatory bodies to exchange dialogue and ideas about the recent developments in the shipping arena.

The string of interesting and debatable topics attracted more than 60 delegates as qualified presenters shared on developing regulations and current industry changes.

Carl Schou, President of WSM, said: “As the shaper of the ship management industry, we find it imperative to stay relevant and adaptable with all the changes we are seeing. I hope the delegates find the topics in this seminar useful in addressing the challenges they are facing.”

The agenda for the seminar includes trading in restricted areas, USCG’s perspective in ballast water management, fuel quality testing and inventory of hazardous materials.

All participants also attended the dinner reception hosted by the Norwegian Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Tormod Cappelen Endresen.
