For over 20 years, WSM has been hosting the event to engage with customers; some who have been loyal and longstanding Clients for more than 30 years.

The seminar is a platform for experts within WSM to exchange dialogue and ideas about the recent developments in the shipping industry.

With the theme “Be Prepared for the Changing Landscape of Shipping”, WSM launched the seminar with topics that solidify their years of quality ship management.

This year, WSM presented how they have taken a digital approach in their ship management operations. This includes their latest initiative to improve vessel performance through big data. WSM also shared their experience of new regulations and industry changes.

Dag Schjerven, President of WSM’s parent company Wilhelmsen Maritime Services, and Carl Schou, President of WSM, were among those present from Wilhelmsen to welcome the 70 Japanese partners.

Carl Schou said: “Despite the ever changing landscape of shipping, WSM will continue to deliver professional and high quality ship management services. I’m pleased to see that WSM is a trusted brand in the Japanese shipping industry. We thank our loyal customers for their ongoing support.”

The customers also attended a dinner reception hosted by the Norwegian Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador Erling Rimestad.
