Tauranga, New Zealand

The current situation overview at the Port of Tauranga.
Port news, Published:

The Port Company No.1 Shed Cool store has been demolished and a new one was due to be completed in time for this year’s Kiwifruit season, however asbestos was found in the old cool store, so progress has taken longer than expected. Completion is unlikely prior to the end of 2017 Kiwifruit season. Furthermore, bulk cargo and log berths have been remained busy for June/July, especially for bulk cargoes - berthing delays up to 3-5 days. Weather sensitive vessels (bulk cargoes) have remained in port up to 7 days, due to long periods of rain and wind. FO Bunkering Supply of 380CST is now available at Tauranga on the following berths; 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11 & 16 via pipeline, MGO available at all berths via Tanker.
