The fire at ENGEN's refinery created a shortage in Durban. ENGEN has declared force majeure - but the others are producing and supplying. Caltex refinery in Cape Town is producing normally.
However there is some concern that ships will be deviated via Cape instead of Suez due to piracy threat. This may put increased pressure on supply in South Africa which is not known for robustness.
