Wilhelmsen Marine Engineering opens office in Busan, Korea

01.01.2010 (WME )
The new office in Busan is an important step in the company’s strategy to increase its presence in Asia, starting in Korea where six of the world’s largest shipbuilders are located.

From the new office, Wilhelmsen Marine Engineering will be able to deliver even better service and response to its customers in Korea. While the merchant shipbuilding market has stagnated, the offshore and special ship markets remain brisk. The opening of the office in Korea will put WME in a strong position to take advantage of the business opportunities when the shipbuilding market picks up again.

Some 80 guests from shipyards, shipping lines, shipbuilding suppliers and sister companies attended the opening ceremony.
