GPS-W is suited for welding all normally occuring steel qualities on board, construction steels up to and including St 52-3, ship plates up to grade EH, pipe materials up to X60, boiler and pressure vessel steels up to St E360.7 and fine grained steels up to St E420.
Shielding gas 80% Ar 20% CO2 is preferred, pure CO2 may be used but will give more spatter and less flexible volt/amp setting.
