High duty cycle’s ensure that even welding at maximum current may be done almost continuously, only interrupted by the welder‘s need to change electrode or position. The machine has continuous current control and automatic thermostat overload protection. The welding properties are excellent for all electrode types up to 3.2 mm size.
UWI-150 plugs into any standard 1-phase 16 A 230V or 32A 115V socket on board, saving the time needed for stretching cables from the main welding power source on board every time welding jobs need to be done in awkward places.
The machine is designed to utilize this available power to it’s utmost, and heavy duty welding at maximum settings may cause fuses on the mains to blow. If smaller fuses are used welding current (electrode size) must be set in accordance with available fuse size.
The standard accessories include a carrying strap, ground clamp and electrode holder with 3 m welding cable, ensuring sufficient work radius from the machine.
The machine is also suited for Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) with the lift-arc start technique. It has a selection switch on the front panel to optimize properties for this process. The switch also allows for selecting TIG welding with an optional remote control for strapping onto the torch
