The Unitor recovery package contains all the tools required to follow the correct procedure for any maintenance of a refrigeration system on board a vessel, as follows:

1. Most of the refrigerant is pumped down into the condenser or receiver, using the system compressor
2. The compressor is stopped and all valves are closed
3. The section of the system to be worked upon is isolated using the system valves
4. Any remaining refrigerant within the section is recovered using the recovery unit, recovery bottle, weighing platform and the deluxe 4-way service manifold (instructions to be followed as per the operating instructions)
5. After maintenance is completed, that section of the system must be purged of air and moisture, using the vacuum pump, vacuum gauge and the 4-way service manifold
6. Upon achieving a deep vacuum, the recovered refrigerant from the recovery bottle is re-charged into the system
7. The system is run up and thoroughly leak tested using the electronic leak detector
