Chemical soot removers in powder form have traditionally been used to inhibit deposit formation with good results. To be fully effective, however, these products need temperatures above 300°C. Unfortunately, this temperature level is not always reached in exhaust boilers. Liquid chemical soot removers, which are more effective at lower temperatures than powder products, have therefore been formulated to handle this situation. To inject these products into the exhaust system, a dosing unit is needed.
The new Automatic Dosing Unit for Soot Remover Liquid is based on years of development for the Marine Market.
The automatic unit can be programmed to meet all dosing requirements. The unit injects Soot Remover Liquid as a fine mist into the exhaust trunking through a nozzle. Atomization of the chemical is air assisted. The atomized Soot Remover Liquid is quickly evaporated and reacts with the unburned hydrocarbon, which is transformed into dry ash.
A thermostat prevents the automatic unit from operating when the engine is stopped or running on low load.
