The temples, shipped in sections, were loaded at Chennai. They required specialized packing and purpose built crates, which were loaded onto containers. Wilhelmsen Ships service also took responsibility for obtaining the various government approvals for archaeological clearance, customs clearance and actual loading onto the vessel.
The consignment was then supervised right up to arrival at the consignee’s site.
