The event was held at the brand new Alandica exhibition centre in Mariehamn, Aland Island, Finland. It is seen as an ideal opportunity for shipping companies to meet with students interested in a career in the maritime industry.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service was among the companies participating at this event for the first time. Wilhelmsen Ships Service was eager to participate in order to demonstrate their interest in the Alandian shipping market and to strengthen their presence in the region. "Half of our main customers have their offices in Aland and we found it very useful to be present at this exhibition. There were also many interested future seamen/engineers at our stand who had used Unitor chemicals during their practice onboard and wanted to know more about our products," says Anita Åkerlund, General Manager Finland. The other participants from Wilhelmsen Ships Service Finland were Thomas LIljeqvist, Account Manager and Marina Aspelin, Sales and Supply Coordinator.
