Wilhelmsen Ships Service has had a presence in this region for many years, but over the last year, the company has been steadily expanding its presence in Turkey and the Black Sea. It has not only expanded the number of wholly-owned offices in the region; they have also dramatically enhanced the services they can offer the shipping industry, particularly in the Istanbul office. For the first time since Europort Istanbul started, Wilhelmsen Ships Service and Wilhelmsen Ships Equipment will have a stand at the exhibition. Wilhelmsen Ships Service will be promoting Liferaft rental and Spotless cargo-hold cleaning, and Wilhelmsen Ships Equipment will be demonstrating their ballast water treatment solutions. Both companies use their global network of offices to serve customers in 2200 ports around the world. This provides a unique service to customers based in the Black Sea region, but with operations around the globe.
The Europort Istanbul exhibition has grown from strength to strength in the ten years it has been operating. This year more than 550 national and international brands will have stands at the exhibition, which will be the largest in its history. It is estimated that at least 15000 people will visit he exhibition.
