Wilhelmsen Ship Management has decades of experience with technical management of the Ro-ro and PCC/PCTC segment and is today the market leader on third party management in this segment.

We operate Ro-ro and PCC/PCTC tonnage from our management centres in Norway, the UK, USA, Malaysia and Korea.

Recently, one of Wilhelmsen Ship Management's managed vessels, MV Tonsberg won the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers' "Ship of the Year 2011" award. Every year the society selects what it considers to be the most technologically, artistically and socially superior ships and marine structures built that year. MV Tonsberg won for its transport efficiency and environmental compatibility.

In 2005, another Wilhelmsen Ship Management’s managed vessels, the MV Torrens, received ShipPax Award. Its highly flexible PCTC design combines a novel arrangement of the double bottom, fuel tanks and solid ballast with optimised capacity to carry a wide variety of Ro-ro cargo. This is the result of innovative solutions engineered and designed by Wilhelmsen Marine Consultants, which developed this new generation of PCTC's.

Today, we have full technical management of more than 100 vessels in this segment.
