Morning Composer is a Panama flagged, 6,500 CEU PCTC, built in 2008 at the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. It is the first EUKOR Bare Boat Charter-Hire Purchase (BBC-HP) vessel awarded to WSM Korea.
BBC-HP vessels are treated as Korean flagged vessel which has very comprehensive Korean crewing requirements. WSM Korea first acquired its Crewing management license in 2009 after a tedious 1-year process in order to comply with this requirement. WSM Korea is the first foreign ship management company to receive a Crew Management License in Korea.
In addition to Crew Management License, each BBC-HP vessel needs an additional Crew Management certificate. All the 8 Korean Officers & Engineers are recruited directly under WSM Korea.
This achievement opens up opportunities for WSM Korea to take Korean flagged vessels on management in the future.
