The ship is owned by Archer, Daniels, Midland (ADM) Corp., of Decatur, Illinois (ADM - www.adm.com).
This is the first ship from ADM, a major global agricultural commodities player with interests in corn, soyabean, cocoa, ethanol, vegetable oils, etc. ADM is also famous for a movie called 'The Informant!', starring Matt Damon, released in 2009 based on a true incident which occurred in ADM 10 years ago.
Management contract was awarded to WSM USA after a thorough evaluation by ADM's corporate compliance department. This award was based on our good reputation in operating bulk ships and high standards of governance, transparency and code of ethics.
