African Lifter was taken over from the owner at Yantai Raffles Shipyard Co. Ltd in Yantai, China at 1200 hrs LT on the 18th December 2009 and it is flying Cyprus flag.
Full crew will comprise of Croatians, Polish and Angolans officers and ratings.
African Lifter was currently taken under tow to Angola where she will accommodate offshore workers. She can accommodate up to 400 persons. She is expected to arrive in Angola early March where the crew will join.
