Shinpetrol (Vietnam) hands over second Handysize Bulkcarrier to Barber Ship Management (BSM) November 21, 2006 in Singapore.
In September BSM KL took over full technical management of the first Shinpetrol's bulker "MV Vinashin Iron". At same time they also entrusted Barber the "MV Vinashin Silver", which then now totally have 2 vessels under management from this subsidiary company of Vinashin, the state controlled shipping arm of Vietnam. The 26.800 DWT and 22.800 DWT (Handysize) bulk carriers are built in 1986 resp. 1984 and taken over from Greek Owners. BSM KL is looking forward to expand their business relations to Vietnam, a fast emerging nation on the international shipping arena.
