That is why on board training is so important for the seafarer to develop his competency. The TFOT Course has been introduced to develop the training and assessment abilities of senior management onboard. In this Course, the participants are trained to be able to identify the training needs of their staff and to effectively bridge the gap between desired and existing competencies using appropriate training methods and resources available on board.

Upon the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

- Identify suitable training methods to bridge the performance gap by training onboard.
