These wonderful inspiring words of Peter F. Drucker, the famous management guru of our times, have, in a subtle way have been our guiding force at the International Maritime Training Centre, now well known as the IMTC. The tendency in human beings to speculate about the future deprives them of the will to act and build a better tomorrow. Training and educational establishments are the laces where minds are shaped, which in turn build the future.
IMTC was established in 1998 with the mission of

• Creating a noticeable impact on overall Maritime Training and Education Scenario.
• Contributing towards a positive change in the attitude of individuals and groups, within IMTC's area of influence.
• Enriching individual and collective value by continuous learning of both the participants and the faculty
• Building on core competence by filling the gaps not addressed by conventional statutory training

This unique icon represents the clock (a medieval sundial) and a compass, the two most essential instruments that a mariner uses on a voyage to guide him to his destination.
