Jørn-Even Hanssen is educated in the Royal Norwegian Air Force and has a Master of Arts from the University of Trondheim. He also holds a Master of Management from Norwegian School of Management (BI) in addition to other education/courses related to HR, leadership and organisational development.
Before joining the Wilhelmsen group, Hanssen worked as group vice president for organisational development and communications at Bertel O Steen Holding AS. He has also had similar positions at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics AS and Lindorff Payment AS.
Hanssen succeeds Kirsten Haune, who is retiring after almost 45 years of service for the Wilhelmsen group. Mrs Haune started in the group in 1967 and has the last ten years helmed the group’s HR and OD department.
