- This is very impressive, said Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon after the visit with EUKOR in Ulsan.
Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Dag Terje Andersen and managing director of Innovation Norway Gunn Ovesen were able to closely observe the loading operations out of Hyundai Motor Company’s car factory in Ulsan, being the largest car factory in the world. EUKOR handles all car exports from Korea for Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation.
- It is amazing to be here right at the heart of industrial Korea, said Crown Prince Haakon.
He was especially impressed by the Koreans’ eye for details. The royal couple and minister with entourage were greeted in Ulsan by deputy group CEO Sjur Galtung of Wilh. Wilhelmsen, managing director Carl Johan Hagman of EUKOR Car Carriers and by the president in Hyundai Motor Company, Yeo Chul Yeon.
- The royal visit has been a very positive experience for the Wilh. Wilhelmsen group in general and for EUKOR Car Carriers in particular, said Sjur Galtung after the visit.
Morning Chorus is a car carrier delivered to EUKOR in January this year. After the visit, the royal couple also visited the world’s largest shipyard, Hyundai Heavy Industries, also located in Ulsan.
The royal couple has headed a large trade delegation of more than 100 persons from Norway aiming to further strengthen the good relations between Norway and the Republic of Korea.
