New head of HR and corporate support for WW

Unni Vennemoe (52) has been appointed group senior vice president for human resources (HR) and corporate support at Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA (WW).

Due to take office on 1 August, Ms Vennemoe is currently director for SAS HR at the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) in Penang, Malaysia.

Earlier appointments include HR director at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), senior vice president HR in ABB Offshore Systems and human capital manager at Kongsberg Subsea.

She holds an MSc degree from the University of Oslo, majoring in psychology and organisational psychology.

The group senior vice president for human resources and corporate support is a newly-established post which will form part of the corporate management team at WW.

Intended to strengthen coordination of staff functions, it carries overall coordinatory responsibility at group level for HR, organisation development including WW Academy, security, information technology and corporate governance.

The current heads of these functions will report to Ms Vennemoe with effect from 1 August.
