In addition WW has an option to order a third vessel. The vessels will have a car carrying capacity of 6,400 cars and will cost just below USD 50 million per vessel. The first vessel will be delivered in October 2004, the second in January 2005.
The vessels will be employed by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines AS and EUKOR Car Carriers, Inc., one of the vessels replacing M/V Tricolor which collided and sank in the English Channel in December 2002 and was eventually declared a total loss.
The Agreement is subject to Board approval.
