Wilh. Wilhelmsen – management changes

As a consequence of today’s announcement regarding the restructuring of the Wilh. Wilhelmsen group (WWI), a new management team has been appointed for Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding and new Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.
Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding
When the restructuring is complete, Ingar Skaug, group CEO of WWI, is appointed group CEO of Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding. He will be succeeded by Thomas Wilhelmsen, deputy group CEO of WWI, in the second half of 2010 when Mr Skaug retires.
 
Mr Wilhelmsen has been group vice president shipping WWI since 2007 and was in addition nominated deputy group CEO in 2009. Mr Wilhelmsen has been with WWI since 2004 starting out as commercial manager shipping followed by regional director Europe in Wilhelmsen Maritime Services. WWI group CFO, Nils P Dyvik, is appointed group CFO in Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding.

New Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA

President and CEO of EUKOR Car Carriers, Jan Eyvin Wang, is appointed president and CEO of new Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.

Mr Wang took up the position as president and CEO of EUKOR Car Carriers (40% owned by WWI) 1 January 2008. He has previously been managing director of United European Car Carriers. Earlier appointments include manager of activities in the American continent for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL). Wang has also been commercial manager for all WWL’s operations worldwide, and has gained broad experience from various appointments in WWI since 1981.

Benedicte Bakke Agerup, group vice president strategy planning and innovation of WWI, is appointed CFO in new Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.

Ms Agerup has held various positions within finance in WWI since 1992 except for the period 2002-2005 when she was employed by KLP Insurance, the last two years of the engagement as CFO. Ms Agerup was deputy group CFO in WWI from 2005-2007 and has held the position as board secretary since 2005.

EUKOR Car Carriers
The owners of EUKOR Car Carriers (EUKOR) have agreed to appoint deputy group CEO of WWI, Sjur Galtung, as president and CEO of EUKOR. The decision will be formalised at the next EUKOR board meeting, scheduled at the end of March 2010. Mr Galtung has been deputy group CEO in WWI since 1989, and has had a number of managing positions since he joined the group in 1971. Since the establishment of EUKOR in 2002, Mr Galtung has been instrumental for WWI’s Korean activities.
