Carl-Johan Hagman steps down from EUKOR

Carl-Johan Hagman will step down as chief executive officer of Korean shipping company EUKOR Car Carriers, part-owned by Wilh. Wilhelmsen and Wallenius Lines, on 1 September 2007.

He has accepted the position of managing director for Swedish shipping company Rederi AB Transatlantic.

Mr Hagman has been CEO of EUKOR Car Carriers (EUKOR) since the company was formed in 2002 following the acquisition of Hyundai Merchant Marine’s car transport division.

EUKOR is owned 40 per cent each by Wilh. Wilhelmsen and Wallenius Lines, with the remaining 20 per cent held by Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation.

The process of replacing Mr Hagman is under way.
