Appointment of New Vice President Corporate Communications

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Cecilie Stray (42) has accepted the position as Vice President, Corporate Communications in Wilh. Wilhelmsen as of 1 January 2005.

She will succeed Hans Chr. Bangsmoen (61) who will become Project Manager and Advisor for the company.

Cecilie Stray is holding a Master of Political Science from the University of Oslo. She previously held the position as political journalist and commentator in the Community Section in Asker and Bærum Budstikke, where she earlier worked with economy and business matters, as well as being head of the political department and the Community Section. She also has many years of experience from Aftenposten.

In addition, Stray has experience from communication work being a previous political adviser for media and communications for the City Government of Oslo, Information Officer in The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities and Statskonsult. Working with The Research Council of Norway, she worked as Information Officer with focus on LOS (Ledelse, organisasjon og styring).

In the period 1988 - 1995, Cecilie Stray served as an elected representative on the Municipal Council of Bærum. She has also held several important offices with Høyre.

Hans Chr. Bangsmoen was employed by Wilh. Wilhelmsen in 1971 and has been head of the Information and Public Affairs Department in WW for the last 25 years.
